React Only To Do App

React Only To Do App

GitHub Repo App Purpose I recently made a To Do App using only React in order to regain my familiarity with the React library for frontend design. I would like to use React with a django project in the near future and this small project allowed me to refresh myself with the technology. App Design The app uses hooks, specifically the useState hook, to update the state within the React DOM.

Coding Challenge: Flashcards 2000

GitHub: Flashcards Code Introduction to Flashcards 2000 Another quick lil coding challenge to sharpen the JS skills. This challenge is a simple JavaScript Flashcard app called Flashcards 2000. I wanted to create a flashcard app that did not have all the flashy transitions in today’s flashcard apps. Sometimes I think these lengthy transitions slow down the learning process. I also wanted the ability to randomize the questions easily in order to better learn the material.

Coding Challenge: Wrestling Clock Display

GitHub: Wrestling Clock Display Code Preview This isn’t necessarily a ‘coding challenge’ but I felt like making a JavaScript Wrestling Clock today. There is already a great tool called Trackwrestling for running wrestling tournaments and scoring matches but this is just my own simple, interactive, clock display. So here it is, world, here it is. The Start I began with syncing the JS with the DOM of the HTML using getElementByID for each item.

Coding Challenge: Pong in Vanilla JS

GitHub: Pong Code Pong History One of the first video games to ever be created and still beloved to this day is a game called Pong. The game is based off of the real game of table-tennis, or Ping-Pong. It was created in 1972 as a Pong Arcade Machine and was later turned into a console system game. However, Magnavox Odyssey, the first console video game system claimed that Atari stole their table-tennis game idea and took it to court.
